Brennan began his professional career as a small animal veterinarian after completing his undergraduate and veterinary studies at The University of Georgia. Through the process of purchasing a small business, Brennan recognized the importance of understanding the principles of business management and thus pursued an MBA.
After selling his own business with the assistance of a broker, he combined his veterinary and business management skills to work for Practice Sales Advisors, a business brokerage firm. Brennan has been guiding sellers through their exit strategies for several years using his first-hand experience as an owner and seller.
In his free time, Brennan enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, cheering on the Dawgs, and learning how to be a small-scale farmer.

Atticus has a passion for growing and rehabbing businesses. He has a proven track record of success in implementing technological advancements and improvements from the beginning of acquisition. His passion lies in helping companies reach their full potential and marketability using cutting-edge technology. Prior to joining Scout Brokerage, Atticus served as the managing partner for a group of veterinary practices in the Southeast. He has also served on an advisory board for a Fortune 500 company.
Atticus is an avid outdoorsman and mountain climber, summiting the peaks of Mount Whitney, Half Dome, and Middle Palisade. He enjoys farming, hiking, traveling, and spending time on the lakes in Upstate South Carolina.
Patrick, Principal of McShane Capital, offers deal sourcing, capital placement, and advisory services, focusing on build-to-suit office space as a preferred developer for the USDA and engaging in various successful real estate partnerships. He has also invested in and supports Athens-based startups.
Previously, he led strategic projects at State Street Bank, co-founded Southern Fiber Company, and has been instrumental in advising startups on capital raises, including a company that achieved $50M in sales in 18 months.
A University of Georgia alumnus with a B.A. in Real Estate and an M.B.A in Finance, Mr. McShane was a Lorberbaum fellow and a letterman on the 2010 SEC Champion men’s golf team. He lives near Athens with his wife and three children.
